Tortosa

Directions

For the lovely guests who are travelling from abroad - you have the below airport options:

1) Barcelona: You can make a great city break for as long as you wish - there is plenty to see and do! We will provide a transfer coach on the morning of the 15th of April to Tortosa.

2) Reus: Reus is located closer to the venue (Tortosa), being just under a 1 hour drive for those who might wish to rent a vehicle. Reus however has limited public transport links to Tortosa.

3) Castellón de la Plana o Valencia: CdlP and Valencia are 1 and 2 hour drive respectively to Tortosa. There is also public transport and coaches to Tortosa, so please let us know if this is the route that you have picked and we will help you plan and book the transfer.

Where to Stay

Hotels

In Tortosa we recommend the following hotels:

1) Tortosa's Parador (our venue)

We have held a number of rooms at the wedding venue for those who wish to stay the night - please get in touch with us if you would like to reserve one. The agreed prices per room (with breakfast included) are:

14.04.2023 - Single Room - 93.60€
14.04.2023 - Double Room - 110.70€
15.04.2023 - Single Room - 98.10€
15.04.2023 - Double Room - 115.20€

We have also seen that the prices on Booking.com vary day-to-day, so it might be worth checking on there too!

There are other hotels to consider in Tortosa which are a 5 minute taxi drive from the venue. For those arriving ol leaving by coach, these might be better options as they are next to the coach station. Our recommendations are:

2) Berenguer IV (***): Rooms from 62 GBP / 70 EUR
3) Tortosa Parc (**): Rooms from 30 GBP / 34 EUR

In Barcelona we recommend that you stay near l'Illa Diagonal shopping mall to ease your transfer to and from Tortosa.

What to Do

Tortosa and Barcelona

Tortosa

Tortosa is a very small city, therefore, you will be very limited on things to do. From Tortosa we recommend a day trip to Delta del Ebro. It is about a 30 minute drive and it is a really beautiful natural scenery with very renowned gastronomy - mainly rice and fish dishes!

Barcelona

There are endless options in Barcelona, so your day would completely depend on your preferences! Barcelona is well-known for the beautiful architecture, beach, mountain, shopping, football stadium, fantastic food, night life, etc! You can take a tour bus to see the city, however, most things are walking distance. Below are some sightseeing guides:
